I'm Erik Edwards, a personal trainer on a mission to inspire, guide, and transform lives—both online and in person. Becoming a trainer wasn’t just a career choice for me; it was a calling born from personal experiences and a passion for helping others thrive, stay healthy, and avoid preventable health challenges.

My own journey through the healthcare system gave me a profound understanding of the struggles many face. I’ve seen how preventable issues can take a toll on lives, which inspired me to take action. Lasting wellness isn’t about reacting to problems—it’s about making proactive choices. That’s where I come in.

As your personal trainer, I combine medical insight with fitness expertise to create programs that are meticulously tailored to your goals, lifestyle, and needs. Whether your focus is weight loss, muscle gain, or improving overall health, we’ll build a plan that not only fits you but grows with you.

From Setbacks to Strength:
My Journey to Empowering Yours

Hi, I’m Erik Edwards.


My journey to becoming a personal trainer is deeply personal. After years of living with chronic pain, enduring four knee surgeries following a basketball injury, and undergoing a double hip replacement, I’ve experienced firsthand what it feels like to be limited by your own body. I’ve also faced the emotional weight of being told I might never run, play sports, or even smile again after battling six months of undiagnosed facial paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (the same condition Justin Bieber faced).

​

But those challenges didn’t define me—they motivated me to take control of my health and fight for my future. Ten years ago, I made a transformative decision to adopt a plant-based, anti-inflammatory diet, inspired by my education and research. With a pre-med background from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Tulane University’s School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, I focused on reducing inflammation and regaining my strength. That choice changed everything.

Today, I’m proud to say I run, train, and thrive every single day. I’m not here to tell you there’s one right way to eat or live, but I do encourage mindfulness in nutrition and how it impacts your well-being.

​

When I work with clients, I bring my journey to the table—not just the challenges I’ve faced, but the lessons I’ve learned. I understand the fear, grief, and frustration that can come with chronic pain or physical limitations. That’s why I create fitness and nutrition plans that are not only tailored to your goals but also rooted in empathy and understanding.

I don’t just design workouts; I build partnerships. Together, we’ll focus on sustainable results, addressing both your physical and mental well-being. Chronic pain can feel isolating, but with me, you’ll never be alone. My philosophy is simple: consistency, support, and science-backed strategies are the keys to transforming your life.
